Modern Pointilism: The Making of a Distortion Piece

Jennifer Adger was born in Montgomery, Alabama. She works predominantly in the watercolor but manipulates the paintings into a mixed-media collage. The final results are pieces called "distortions" that attempt to provide a visual representation of memory and forgetting. Jennifer completed a BS in Psychology from Auburn University Montgomery with a minor in visual arts as well as an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School and a PhD from American University in Washington DC. She has shown her work in Cambridge, Massachusetts and New York City. Jennifer lives and works in New York.
